At Loko Poko we encourage our students to celebrate the diversity that they are a part of. By celebrating different traditions, lifestyles and linguistically diverse backgrounds, we groom them to appreciate the various cultures surrounding them.Which include Diwali, Onam, Christmas, Independence Day, Teachers Day, Sports Day etc. All these events aim at sharing ideals, conserving traditions and generating new trends.

Diwali

Our Diwali festivities bring together children, their parents, and loved ones for a day of joyous celebration. Participants delight in a variety of activities, including games, crafting diyas, dance performances, and more. Traditional attire sets the tone for the occasion. Beyond the festivities, we view Diwali as a valuable opportunity to instill in children a reverence for their cultural heritage, the importance of sharing, and the spirit of unity.

Onam

At Loko Poko, we embrace Onam with great enthusiasm. Each class eagerly takes on the challenge of creating a vibrant floral rangoli. A prize awaits the class with the most impressive design. Both children and teachers wear traditional Indian attire to mark this special occasion.

Ganesh Chaturthi

At Loko Poko, Ganesh Chaturthi is observed with deep reverence. Our students learn about the significance of this auspicious day, the traditional rituals of worship, and the appropriate offerings to honor the occasion.

Independence Day

We celebrate The Independence Day by recreating the ambience of the freedom struggle. Students are given a chance to dress as a freedom fighter and recite a few words about what the leader had done for the country. Every child is given the Indian tricolour as a reminder of the strength, courage, peace, truth, fertility and auspiciousness of the country.

HUS

As per our curriculum, Loko Poko’s first field trip is arranged to our sister school HUS (Hiranandani Upscale School). Students are taken to the main school as part of the first unit syllabus ‘My School and Surroundings’. Here they are given an opportunity to learn about the community they live in, interact with people and much more.

World Peace day

We believe that teaching children to work in harmony from a young age is a great way of making them better human beings. So on World Peace Day, we teach them the importance of working together for the future of the world. Students are taken on a parade carrying boards made by them that have quotes about world peace.

Sports Day

The purpose of Sports Day is to showcase the talents of every child while fostering a spirit of healthy competition. We encourage active participation from all students, with games and prizes awarded not only to the winners, but to every participant.

Christmas

At Christmas time, our school is adorned with festive hues like red, gold, silver, and green. Children enthusiastically assist in decorating the Christmas tree, while also learning about the values of sharing and generosity. To add to the festivities, our little ones dress in accordance with the designated Christmas colors each day.

Field Trips

Loko Poko emphasizes learning not just within the classroom, but also through real-world experiences. Integrating field trips into our curriculum is a fundamental aspect of our educational approach
